Day 4 - Ding-Dong, Cominsidemyhouse!

Yo yo yiggity yo! It's Caleb reppin' Rancho Siloe on the mic tonight in Club Chihuahua!

Whoa. What a ride so far. Where to start? Work this morning was pretty avarage. We are about half way done dry-walling an entire room (including the celiing). As you can imagine, it's tough work having to hold a 12 foot piece of dry wall over your head for an undetermined amount of time. Nonetheless, we push on. Johnny and Zach did get a chane of pace by getting to help with some concrete work. Inevitably, they are pretty whipped.

Brickyard today was good in that the kids are starting to warm up to us and be more out going. Before, they were a little shy compaired to other years. I was lucky enough to be a part of a little skit about Lazerus for lesson time. I played the rich man who dies and goes to hell. Yep. I'm pretty sure I nailed the part. After that, we had craft time. We made the Wordless Bracelets and it turned out pretty well. Every day twords the end of the time we're at Brickyard, we serve the kids food from a different ethnicity. Today, it was, "Comida de Brazil!" That's, "Food from Brazil" for all the unilingulal people. We also taught them a form of tag that we play in youth group every now and then. They young, "tots" didn't quite get it, but nevertheless it was fun.

When we got home, we immidiately got cracking. We were setting up for a nice American-In-Mexico party. It was Mrs. Rigel's birthday, and we were not about to take that lightly. I mean, turning 39 again is HUGE! Mrs. Rigel totally decked out the kitchen with many savory aromas that stimulated the brain in ways you wouldn't believe. After a wonderful dinner, Monte set up a rope and we started taking some swings at a Sponge Bob piniata. Who would want to go to a party without a piniata? Not me. That's for sure.

Well, God has been showing me a lot of things lately. Josh gave me a big roll in hanging dry wall. Never had I had so much responcibility for something so intricate. God has been showing me how to be patient and precise. This morning we had a devotion on submission. We read the passage in 1 Peter about how Jesus was humble even to death on the cross. Wow. That was a heavy load put on my sholders. But it is the good burden, you know? God has been tugging on my heart to be submissive.

Prayer Requests
Ann and Kate - They are struggling just a littleeeee bit with their back pains. Pray that God brings healing.
Brett - He woke up this morning with huge stomach pains and vomiting. Pray that God comforts him and brings quick healing.
Trip to the Tadajumada(sp) tribe - This is a huge opportunity for us as a group. We get to do some work for a local tribe. Pray for safty in travel.

Welp. That's it for me tonight. I pray that all is going well back home.

Love and miss you all,

Caleb (El Jefe) George

P.S. Happy Birthday Mrs. Rigel! Love you Mom#2!

More than your use of the word "inevitably," I loved that you used "unilingual"! I'll top Kelly's 10 points with another 50!
